Sekiro

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a 2019 action-adventure game developed by FromSoftware and published by Activision. The game is set in a reimagined late 1500s Sengoku period Japan and follows a shinobi known as Wolf as he attempts to take revenge on a samurai clan who attacked him and kidnapped his lord. Sekiro is played from a third-person perspective. Unlike FromSoftware's Dark Souls series, the game does not feature role-playing elements, such as character creation or the ability to level up a variety of stats. Instead, it focuses on stealth, exploration, and precise combat, with an emphasis on parrying and counter-attacking. The game also introduces a resurrection mechanic, allowing players to revive on the spot if they die. Sekiro received critical acclaim, with praise for its gameplay, world design, and presentation. It won several awards, including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019. By July 2020, the game had sold over five million copies worldwide.
