The raccoon (Procyon lotor) natures little bandits can be found throughout their native habitat of North America as well as zoos in many continents. They are distinquishable by their grey fur and black striped tail and eyes. They are omnivores who will eat just about anything and love peanut butter sandwiches (speaking from experience).

Fun Facts

  1. Raccoons like to wash their food before eating it which can lead to unfortunate events if they are given cotton candy
  2. They have black rings around their eyes to prevent glare and it is beleived this improves their night vision
  3. Raccoons are very intelligent with researchers even doing test on them
  4. Raccoons are capable of using tools such as opening doors and untieing knots
  5. Raccoons are Crepuscular meaning they're active at dawn and dusk

These animals can make great pets but be careful they're only legal in so many states
