The Macaroni Penguin is a species of Penguin that can be found from the Sub-Antarctic to the Antarctic and are distinquisable by their distinctive yellow crest that resembles macaroni. There are roughly 18 million of these penguins making them the most populous species of penguin and primarly feed on krill, cephlapods, and small fish meaning they are excellent hunters.

  1. The crest on their head gives them the vibes of a laid back surfer dude which landed them in the surfs up movie from 2007 where I personally discovered them.
  2. They live between 15-20 years
  3. They travel up to 250 miles for a suitable hunting spot
