The original Resident Evil 2 released in 1998 for the Playstation. The remake was released in 2019 for multiple consoles. Like it's predecessor, Resident Evil 2 is a survival horror game from the third-person over-the-shoulder perspective.
Players can choose to play as Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield, with the option of doing a Playthrough B as the opposite character. Playthrough B is a shortened experience that is effected by playthrough A: Weapons that are taken or left behind by character A will be missing or available to character B.
